My ESMO-Experience

Published by admin in the category My ESMO-Experience, Students

Ewa, from Poland writes some lines about her experience in Spain with ESMOVIA. She was doing a work placement of 3 ewa1.jpgmonths as a nurse in a Valencian clinic. She was a beneficiary of Eramus Placement programme.

My experince with Spain started with sunny weather and meeting new area:)

Then, was learning Spanish with Irene and starting the work in the clinic. During our stay here, we visited history buildings, churches, el Barrio del Carmen, Plaza del Ayuntamiento, etc. We went to Latin discoteque near the beach twice. In Valencia we tasted traditional Spanish dishes, like Paella. We drank beer in cafeteria.  It was very nice here:)

A group of Italian students with the European Project Leonardo Da Vinci Planning the Intermodal Network - Pianificazione e Gestione della catena intermodale: dalla movimentazione alla documentazione, are in our beautiful city of Valencia to carry out a 5 weeks training period in Port Logistic sector. So in this day, ESMOVIA has organised for them a visit to Valencia harbour in order to get a depper knowledge of one of the biggest habours in Spain.

It’s raining. It’s raining in Valencia. The 13 people come one by one to the meeting point with coat and umbrella. The visit begins in a conference room with a global presentation of Valencia harbour called “Valenciaport” and its place in the Mediterranean sea, Europe and world.

The harbour of Valencia is formed of 3 harbours and the one in Valencia is the most famous and important. “Valenciaport” is divided in several docks like organic matter dock (cereals), flammable matter dock (chemicals products), traveller dock (tourists). Recently, city of Valencia built another dock for sports like

America’s Cup.

The visit continues in boat. Students have the pleasure to  discover the different docks of the harbour like no-one. On the sea, they can see a sand mountain on their left side and a wall of tank on their right side. In spite of a lack of information from the guide everybody enjoy the visit.

Nobody felt seasick, students discovered a city in the city and got again on the bus under the sun. See you soon for a new adventure…Students can find all the pictures of this visit, and different link which can interest and help them in their future.
