Small introduction to Fallas
Fallas are a Valencian tradition that celebrates Saint Joseph’s day (19 March). The term fallas refers both to the celebration and the monuments made in cardboard.
Every neighborhood has a group of people (casal fallero) that works all year long to build up a huge construction known as falla that represents a satirical scene.
All the fallas are burned down 19th March at 12 p.m. in a world unique show. But Fallas is not just a “one night” celebration. From 1st March, in fact, you can bump into any kind of procession, firecracker processions and fireworks!
If you have a weak heart, then, avoid Valencia during Fallas!
