Learning to cook paella

In the beginning of July a group13 students from Poland came to

Valencia guided by the desire to learn the secrets of the European cuisine and tourism services. Inspired by their enthusiasm, ESMOVIA in collaboration with Altaviana, organised for them an “Authentic Paella Class”. Last Friday the students took the challenge of the chef Juan Clemente Hernández and met face to face with the most popular Spanish dish.

La Paella Paella classValenciana is named after the frying pan in which it is prepared and after its birth region. Usually lots of ingredients different from the original ones are added to this worldwide known dish. But the real paella is done with products typical for

Valencia: vegetables from its gardens, rice and olive oil (basic for the Mediterranean region), chicken and rabbit meat, seafood on the cost, rosemary and the most important … la paella, the special frying pan with handles used for this recipe.
Having all this ingredients, our future professionals were divided into three groups in order to give the rice the typical

Valencia flavour. The dishes they had to prepare were Paella Valenciana, Paella de Verduras (vegetable paella) and Arroz a la Banda (rice with seafood). It was not only a great fun cooking, but also a very delicious experience that we recommend to anyone.
