“We Welcome Work” project – 3rd Transnational meeting in Nicosia

Our Cypriot partner, Emphasys Centre, hosted the 3rd transnational meeting of the W.W.W. project, a KA2 project for VET that promotes young people employability through online training opportunities and effective carrier orientation strategies.

From the 14th to the 15th of December, partners from Romania, Cyprus, Spain, Germany and Italy have been analyzing the state of the art of the project and have planned joint activities to be carried out in the upcoming months.

During the meeting, we have reviewed the finalized output, a Database of the Job Profiles and Best Practices on carrier orientation, and worked together on the Toolkit Package. The Toolkit contains a set of effective carrier guidance strategies, methodologies and tools for VET teachers and an Interactive Competences Test that will help VET students and young people discover what careers best match their preferences and competences.

We went further testing the templates for the creation of the Online Apprentice ship Simulator, the real core part of the project, that will provide young people with the chance to go on an online apprenticeship, experiencing job-related real cases and situations.

Finally, we set common framework for the last projects result, a Motivational Video from companies.

On the last day, we took part in a bicycle guided tour organized by the NGO “Cyclists across barriers”, thanks which we had the chance to get to know about the cultural richness and the crucial events that marked the history of the whole island.

The meeting proved to be very fruitful and cooperative, and also give us the chance to discover more about the hosting country!
