ESMOVIA team in Mannheim, Germany for the LTTA of the EMoCC European project

ESMOVIA has exciting news to share with all of you!!

Last month of July the Erasmus+ project team flew to Mannheim, Germany where we attended a learning teaching and training session for our project  «European Mobility in Career Counselling», shortened as EMoCC. This project is being made by international partners from Italy, Germany, France, and of course, Spain. Our project team is a very multi-disciplinary group composed of members with differing professional and life experiences, which allows us to have very enriching conversations and reach powerful results and conclusions regarding our final product.

Three sunny days were spent at the University of Applied Labor Studies of the Federal Employment Agency, shortened as HdBA, in the city of Mannheim, located in southwest Germany.  Various presentations were prepared and presented by members of the HdBA University regarding a large number of topics, which led to discussion amongst the project’s partners. We analysed, debated, learned, questioned, and began to construct the outline skeleton of topics for the two MOOCS (massive open online courses) that we are going to create together.

The two MOOCS will be complementary, with the first having the focus specifically on career counsellors, and the second going further focusing on the aspect of mobility within career counselling. The development of the first MOOC is being led by our wonderful German partners, HdBA, who are experts in career counselling. The second MOOC is being led by ESMOVIA, as we are experts in the process of mobility within Europe, due to the public we work with and receive from across the European Union. There is a very important previous research step before the development of the MOOCS, and this is being done by the Universitá Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, with professional researchers using qualitative and quantitative approaches to gather important data from the public that will be our final users.

The dissemination of this process and information will be principally done by our French partner, Iriv, who are experts in this process. Tür an Tür will be contributing throughout the entire process of both MOOC 1 and 2, as they are experts regarding their experience with diverse cultures in their work.

There were also leisure moments in the agenda, with a special cultural trip made to the German countryside, in the city of Billigheim-Ingenheim, where we were given information about this region of Germany, to get to know the country better.

We will keep you updated on the development of the research!
